DreamGen

DreamGen is an independently-run platform dedicated to providing a space where users can freely express their creativity through interactive storytelling and role-play as long as it remains private and involves no real persons being harmed or exposed. Founded on the belief that constructive creative freedom should not be restricted, DreamGen chooses to remain unsponsored by major external funding so it can adhere to its core values. On DreamGen, you can create your own worlds, characters, and narratives or jump into existing ones-then steer the plot or AI NSFW role-play through them. The only limit is your imagination.

How to create an account

• Go to the website, open your browser and go to DreamGen.
• On the homepage, click the “Main sign-in button” On the login page, look for the text link “Create a new account” click the button.

Enter your details

• Type your email address.
• Create a password (make it strong: mix letters, numbers, symbols).

Or sign up with google (optional)

• If you prefer, click “Login with google” and follow the google pop-up to allow access.
• By creating an account, you’re agreeing to DreamGen’s privacy policy and terms of service (linked on the auth page).

Then the DreamGen homepage will automatically open.

User experience & interface

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced writer, DreamGen provides the tools, flexibility, and atmosphere needed to bring your imagination to life.

Image generation

DreamGen’s image generator provides a simple and powerful way to create high-quality AI images. The interface is designed to be intuitive, letting you control prompts, styles, fidelity, and image size in just a few clicks. Everything is organized into clean panels so beginners and advanced users can generate images effortlessly.

Go to the “Generate” section

• on the left sidebar, under images, click generate. This opens the image creation panel.

Enter your prompt

• Include (what you WANT in the image).
• Exclude (what you want the AI to AVOID).

Choose your image model

• Animuse B, anime-style.
• Other models, realistic, painterly, stylized, etc.

Adjust prompt strength

• Lower value, more creative freedom.
• Higher value, more literal interpretation.

Choose styles & effects

• Realistic.
• Anime.
• Cinematic.
• Soft lighting.
• Vintage.

Select image size

• 1:1 Square (default).
• Portrait.
• Landscape.
• Ultra-wide.

Choose number of images

• “1” single image
• “2-4” multiple variations

Click “Generate image”

• At the bottom of the panel, click the white button: Generate 1 image.
• You will see the AI generate your image in the preview space on the right.

Create new role-play

DreamGen allows you to build fully customized role-play scenarios with plots, characters, settings, and example openings. The Scenario Builder is clean, organized, and perfect for both simple RP setups and complex world-building projects. Each section lets you add details that help the AI understand your story world, characters, and how you want the role-play to unfold.

Go to “Your scenarios”

• Click Your Scenarios from the left menu.

Create a new scenario

• Press Create New to open the scenario builder.

Add a scenario name

• Enter the title of your role-play at the top.

Write the Plot

• Add a short plot description to explain the story concept.

Add characters

• Click Add under Characters.
• Give each character a name and a short description. (Optional: Add persona, location, or objects.)

Add an opening scene

• Under Openings, click Add and write a starting scene for the role-play.

Add style examples

• Use examples to show the AI how you want the writing to sound.

Add images

• Upload character or setting images if you want.

Write a description

• Scroll to the description box and write a short overview of your scenario.

Save

• Your scenario is now ready to use under Your Scenarios.

Create new story

DreamGen’s story builder allows you to craft detailed story setups that the AI will use to continue writing in your preferred tone, style, and direction. The interface is clean and highly structured, helping you build plots, characters, openings, and descriptions in one organized workspace.

Go to “Your stories”

• Open the left sidebar and click your stories.

Create a new story

• Click create new story to open the builder.

Add a story name

• Enter the title of your story at the top.

Write the plot

• Add a short plot description to explain the main idea of your story.

Add characters

• Click Add under Characters and fill in each character’s name and description. (Optional: Add persona, location, or object details.)

Add an opening scene

• Under openings, click add and write the first scene to begin the story.

Add style examples

• Use examples to show the AI how you want the writing to sound.

Add images

• Upload character or setting images if you want.

Write the description

• Scroll to description and write a short overview of your story.

Save

• Your story is now ready and stored under your stories.

Create scenario with wizard

The scenario wizard in DreamGen is designed to help you quickly create a story or role-play scenario with simple instructions. Instead of filling out forms manually, you tell the wizard what you want, and it automatically builds a complete scenario-including plot, characters, settings, and openings.

Open the scenario wizard

• Go to new session under the scenario wizard section on the left menu.

Type your request

• Use the text box at the bottom to describe the type of scenario you want.
• Example, create a fantasy adventure where I’m a mage apprentice.

Review the generated scenario

• The wizard will automatically create a plot, characters, setting, and opening scene based on your request.

Refine If needed

• Type additional instructions like “add a villain” or “make it darker” to improve the scenario.

Save your scenario

• When satisfied, save it. your scenario will appear under your scenarios.
